Cardinal's Club Tickets...

David and I were lucky to be given some Cardinal's Club tickets by friends of his parents. In case you don't know (and I sure didn't) the Cardinal's Club seats are the green seats right behind home plate.
You can see Jim, Donna, and their son Daniel sitting behind us. Kind benefactors :) On David's left is his good friend Brett, who joined us for the game.

Oh yes.

Those seats include unlimited booze and food...complete with seat-side service and a buffet.

Uh-huh.

The best part? You can see us on TV!

Of course, you can also see me paying zero attention.

The prime view of Pujols was also an added plus :

We're alive!

Hello! The Bachelorette Float Trip was successful! I'm waiting to gather pics from the girls to blog about that trip and the Darce-a-thon night in KC, but will get those soon.

Success, though--no one died!

I'm going to work on some old posts tonight...

Oh yeah, homeowner

So... officially a homeowner! I was so overwhelmed with moving that I never made this post.

It was easy and a dream...but now I have to learn how to fix things.

Here's me, right before signing (cheesy self-portrait).

Count Down to Float Trip...

Tomorrow, we head out for my float trip...in preparation, Jess, Tara, and I traveled to Sam's to stock up...

...and ended up buying a thing of cheese-poofs bigger than my head.

Our cart was shocking...even more shocking when you consider that the above cart contains 2 30-packs of beer, 2 handles of vodka, a box of wine, and some lemon booze crap.

And we were only buying booze for the three of us.

Someone is going to drown.

New Couches!

David and I enjoyed a relatively low-key fourth (after getting silly drunk the night before with Tara and Dan). Most of the day, we spent shopping for couches. We found ones we liked and a good deal on top.

Yay couches!

Their ugly step sisters (my previous couches) have been banished to the basement.

The only family member who isn't thrilled about their arrival is Maggie-Roo. Unfortunately, she's not welcome to enjoy them in any form and has already started pouting.

On Tuesday, we're getting a table and stand thing for near our door...we weren't planning on getting a new table this quickly, but last Sunday David, Mike (David's brother in law), and I attempted to refinish my previous table. Turns out this wasn't the one-day job we anticipated, because after three people worked for 5 hours we only had the top of the table sanded down. This sucker has layer after layer on it and required two (TWO) thick coats of paint stripper.

So, after David told me in rather unhappy terms that he does not enjoy working on old furniture, we decided to buy a new set and allow me to work on our old set slowly. This is a much better solution to me freaking out because we don't have a table and spending 12 hours a day working on it. After I get the table/chairs finished, they'll go to the basement where they can be used for poker or other nonsense.

By no means a guard dog...

My Maggie Roo is most assuredly a scardy-dog. She's a darling baby that I love dearly (yeah, I know...creepy dog lady), but would never ever be a protector :)

She had a new fear...brooms and vacuums. I can understand the vacuum thing because of the noise, but the broom just boogles me. Last night David was playing a game with her where he stood in the stairway and called Maggie up from the basement....when she got halfway up the stairs, he waved that terrifying broom in her face she sprinted back down. This lasted for about 10 minutes before I interrupted and saved by baby from a horrifying fate.

So...later on, David started cleaning the floors (it's his job and he's doing a bang-up job). He was using vacuum and Maggie was hiding in the bedroom as I was putting clothes in the closet. He came rumbling in and edged up on her dog bed, totally forgetting Roo-Bear's crippling fear.

Apparently, Maggie had a panic attack. She hurled herself off her dog bed, over the night stand, and onto the bed. It would have been flawless had her paw not caught the lamp during her short flight. The lamp shattered...but no blood lost.

Poor Maggie Roo.
Oh and here's our new house... I love it.

Confessions of a terrible blogger

So....

We bought a house, moved, and I've been working far too much. I've sucked it up at the blogging. My goal for tomorrow is to try to catch up.

I'll take pictures this afternoon :)
